Progress, saves, and reset

Checked 14 October 2026. Steam demo progress carries over. Cloud backup, puzzle undo and deleting a campaign are three different actions.

Where progress is stored

Steam lists Steam Cloud. Nintendo lists Save Data Cloud through Nintendo Switch Online. These are platform backup/sync features, not documentation of the game's autosave timing. Family sharing is a separate purchase-access feature, not a save-transfer mechanism. PS5 offline play does not by itself establish cloud-save availability.

Neither the checked store pages nor the announcements publish a Windows save-folder path or a PC-to-console sync promise. Do not delete a guessed directory. Preserve your current campaign before starting another; a new campaign, a board reset and a cloud restore are not interchangeable.

Rewind versus reset

Rewind returns to an earlier board state, as described in the PlayStation hands-on. A Steam discussion title reports R for a board reset; this is a community observation, not a confirmed binding table for every platform. No supported whole-save wipe procedure was established in this audit.

Global achievement rates describe all players, not your personal percentage of solved puzzles. The open map has 920 markers, not a verified denominator for the full game. The 12 October patch changes solved entry-star colors toward white, giving a documented visual progress cue; the exact solved-count UI path remains unverified.

Demo saves and the 12 October patch

Arc Games explicitly promises Steam demo-to-full-game carry-over in its June announcements. There is no need to restart merely because the save came from the demo. The developer's 12 October update adds achievement awards on load for demo players who missed them.

The same update fixes an Overworld wizard jailbreak and advises undo if that change leaves a player inside a wall. This is a specific developer instruction, not a general reset recipe. The announcement contains spoilers for later mechanics, so only the relevant save and progress items are summarized here.

How do I reset all progress?

No verified full-wipe procedure is available here. Rewind or resetting a board is not deleting the campaign.

How many levels have I solved?

Do not use global achievement rates as a personal counter. The exact in-game solved-count menu still needs a documented test.
